Mayfield Renewables Introduces Yogesh Singh as Principal Engineer
Corvallis, OR – Here at Mayfield Renewables, we’ve been leaders in consulting engineering and technical education for the solar-plus-storage industry since 2007. So we’re thrilled to announce that Yogesh Singh, a subject matter expert with over 28 years of experience in the energy industry, has joined us as our Principal Engineer.
Yogesh has held senior management roles in engineering, product development, and operations management at Westinghouse, Siemens, Nant Energy, and Motive Energy. Since 2007, he has deployed over 5 GW of solar PV and 2.7 GWh of energy storage systems across diverse applications—so he is well-versed in building and managing project engineering teams.
Within product development, Yogesh has led work on central inverters, zinc-air-based battery energy storage systems, and the lithium-ion-based energy storage systems widely used across the industry. As a member of IEEE committees active in energy storage technologies and grid integration, he has helped develop key standards such as IEEE 1547 and UL 9540A.
Yogesh is an ardent practitioner of systems engineering in product development, and of process flow-based structured methods of engineering in projects. As Principal Engineer, Yogesh will refine our engineering processes to maximize standardization and drive efficiency with an emphasis on three cultural pillars:
- We listen – We are consulting engineers working on behalf of our clients. We aim to be active and engaged listeners, both internally and externally,so we can fully understand the goals and boundary conditions of all of our projects.
- We teach – As consultants, we are also educators. We operate as a team of subject matter experts who can confidently and clearly communicate engineering fundamentals to our clients.
- We apply – We don’t just engineer for the sake of engineering. As well as providing accurate calculations and plan sets, we also ensure that the systems we engineer are built and operated correctly.
Yogesh is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of work, he is an avid reader and polyglot and loves the great outdoors.
