Corvallis, OR — Mayfield Renewables has been providing leading consulting engineering and technical education in the solar-plus-storage industry since 2007. We are happy to announce that Jacob Betcher has been appointed as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.

This decision to bring on an experienced CEO to take our vision – providing accessible expertise to the industry – to the next level. The distributed generation industry is at an important inflection point as we move towards renewable systems that have added complexity. This addition to the leadership team provides Mayfield Renewables the opportunity to bolster our services to the industry as well as our own staff and clients.

Betcher, an accomplished engineering professional and proven business leader, is eager to advance the Mayfield vision to provide technical expertise to project developers, EPCs, manufacturers, and industry professionals working in the energy transition.

“This decision creates the opportunity to grow both consulting engineering and education & training in parallel. These are distinct services, but they enhance one another.” – Jacob Betcher

Founder Ryan Mayfield has been a well-regarded resource to many, but bringing on a dedicated CEO is necessary in the company’s evolution to allow him to focus efforts on growing industry needs for education and training the next generation. He will continue to be involved in leadership but will focus on growing quality education offerings while actively participating in the codes and standards communities, both long-standing passions. Of note, Mayfield recently announced their inaugural Mayfield Renewables Education Summit, to be held later this fall at the University of Texas at Austin on October 2-3 in Austin, TX.

“This decision positions Mayfield to make a greater impact in our rapidly growing industry and will allow all of us within the company to focus on our strengths and contribute more to the industry we love so much.” – Ryan Mayfield
